The heart of Bourges old town, located near ACE hotel, is brimming with charm and interesting sights. With its rich medieval past, the walk is an invitation to dream. The half-timbered houses dating from the XV and XVI centuries can be seen as you roam the town’s narrow streets.  Admire the over four hundred and forty timber-framed houses that flank the streets of Bourbonnoux, Merebaux, Auron, Gambon and Edouard Vaillant. Shops, cafés, delicatessens, restaurants and patisseries punctuate this walk through the heart of beautiful Bourges, listed a “Town of Art and History” in 1992.

Not to be missed in Bourges:

• The famous “Le printemps de Bourges” festival, a time when the whole city is buzzing and living in line with the schedule of concerts by French and international, established or up and coming artists.
